Terms and Conditions

3.1. Free tours: No upfront payment is required. Participation works on a pay-what-you-think-it’s-worth basis, and participants are encouraged to leave voluntary tips at the end. You may cancel at any time, free of charge; we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so that we can offer your place to other travellers.

3.2. Free tours for groups of 7 or more (reservation fee): The reservation fee (see 2.4) is paid in full when booking. Cancellation policy:
– up to 3 days before the date of the activity: no cancellation fee (full refund, less bank and payment transfer fees, see 3.8);
– between 2 and 1 days before the date of the activity: 50% of the reservation fee will be charged;
– less than 1 day (24 hours) before the activity, or in the event of a no-show: 100% will be charged.

3.3. Private tours: Private tours are paid in full (100%) at the time of booking. Cancellation policy:
– up to 8 days before the date of the activity: no cancellation fee (full refund, less bank and payment transfer fees, see 3.8);
– between 7 and 4 days before the date of the activity: 50% will be charged;
– 3 days or less before the activity, or in the event of a no-show: 100% will be charged.

3.4. Changing the date: For group bookings and private tours, you may change the date once free of charge, as long as you ask within the free cancellation period (see 3.2 and 3.3), subject to availability.

3.5. Fewer participants: If fewer people attend than were booked, the price is not reduced, unless you let us know within the free cancellation period. A reduction in the number of participants after that is treated as a partial cancellation under the scale above.

3.6. Late arrival: Tours start on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without letting us know, the booking will be treated as a no-show.

3.7. Cancellation by Take Free Tours: Tours run in all weather conditions, except when severe weather poses a risk to participants’ safety. If we have to cancel a tour (for example, because of severe weather, guide illness or other circumstances beyond our control), you may choose between a full refund, with no fees deducted, and a new date at no extra cost. We will notify you as soon as possible.

3.8. How to cancel and refunds: Please send cancellations and changes to bookings@takefreetours.com. Refunds are made to the original payment method. For any cancellation requested by the customer, the bank and payment transfer fees we pay to receive the payment and to send the refund will be deducted from the amount refunded.

3.9. Right of withdrawal: Our tours are leisure services provided on a specific date. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to these services; cancellations are governed by the rules above.

3.10. Guide Substitutions & Route Changes: In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to replace a guide or alter the tour route. If significant changes are made, participants will be informed in advance.
